Jackie, fought for so very long with cancer, she actually was given the all clear from her main doctor, but unfortunately by the end of the year it had come back in her bones then enventually her brain. We always knew one day it would get the better of us, I know she was the one with the illness but I felt I had it as well and if I could have taken it for myself I would have. We had some fabulous times over our years together and I am really glad to have had her in my life. We had spent 20yrs and apart from my stint in London and going to work we were never apart. At the end she was very tired and just wanted to lay down and not wake up and kept asking when it would be time and on the 19th Dec in the St Barnabas Hospice I told her it was time and she could close her eyes and goto sleep which she did. Just like we hoped it would go no pain just drift off. My thanks to all our local Doctors, nurses,pharmacists and especially to St Barnabas you were more than a medical team to us you became our friends. Wayne xxx ( Jackie you will always be with me ))
